  • Why Purebred Dogs?
The South Shore Kennel Club (SSKC) presently has 10 members, 2 Honorary members, and 2 lifetime members. The club’s area of operation is the  beautiful South Shore of Nova Scotia.

The SSKC holds monthly meetings (with the exception of July,August and December) on the third Monday of the month.

SSKC members treat themselves to an annual summer picnic, which provides a pleasant and informal opportunity for both owners and dogs to socialize and to have fun outdoors.   There is also an annual winter “bash” at which members and guests meet and occasionally sponsor an auction to raise funds for the club. Both of these events are well known for their super quality and abundance of delicious food. These get  togethers are eagerly looked forward to by all the club members.

Over the years, the members of the SSKC have eagerly and seriously participated in just about every discipline of the dog world. With much dedication, self-training, patience, and determination, they have achieved numerous high awards and titles.SSKC members participate in many Conformation, Obedience and Specialty Shows throughout the region. They eagerly compete with the best, taking  great pride in earning titles on their “very best friends”.

SSKC members are always willing and pleased to assist any person contemplating purchasing a puppy.
